Clothes for kids

Comfortable clothes are very important for a fussy-free baby.

Always wear soft and comfortable clothes for kids.

No matter what occasion it is, always wear kids' clothes that are soft, comfortable and simple.

Clothes for newborns:

For the first month, the baby should wear a soft cotton jhabla and swaddle(for the feeling of warmth as in the womb).

Swaddling helps the baby sleep well in the early days and not feel alone.

Prefer using clothes that can be tied as they will be easy to wear and remove.

Always wash the clothes before wearing babies for the first time, this will avoid rashes and itchiness.

For the first month wear Cap, mittens and socks. But if the baby is born during summer then avoid using caps, mittens and socks. Only swaddling will help keep the baby cosy and comfortable.

Some people say avoiding caps and mittens can catch a cold in babies but it's not true, check the weather and wear clothes accordingly and not as per people's choices or views.

Clothes for summer:

Breathable cotton, bright coloured and simple.

Clothes for the rainy:

Soft, lightweight and simple.

Clothes for winter:

Soft, woollen and simple.

Socks, Caps and mittens.

Clothes during parties, birthdays and weddings:

Keep as simple as possible. If you want to buy the best dress then buy the best fabric. If your kid is comfortable then he or she will wear it all day long.

As we, as adults feel uncomfortable with some clothes, kids feel the same. Newborns cannot tell us so they become fussy.

How to deal with rashes?

If the baby has got a rash due to some clothing then apply rash cream on that area and wear a soft cloth and if you are at home avoid wearing any cloth.

You can also apply coconut oil, it helps repair skin damage fast.

If the rashes are not going even after taking care then talk to your doctor.

Your toddler is fussy while wearing clothes?

I have seen many kids make silly reasons to avoid wearing some clothes. My niece Gargi does the same, she loves to wear only jeans and a t-shirt but not a frock or any other type of dress. She makes reasons for not wearing a cloth-like it is itchy, it’s not good etc.

I feel they are very small to understand everything so we need to teach them about all these things, some clothes are itchy but if they are comfortable and kids are unnecessarily making reasons then understand it and explain them.

Always appreciate kids wearing any cloth. Eg: "wow! You look gorgeous in this dress."

Sometimes if your kid says I don't want this t-shirt then it's fine but never listen every time. They are very smart, if you listen every time they will become experts in making you fool by fake cries😂.

Don't scold babies if they are not listening instead convince them by appreciating or saying things that make them feel good🥰.

If you say to someone your kid doesn't like wearing a frock or a specific t-shirt, kids listen to everything and they purposely do not listen to you. Be wise while telling about kids to someone😅.

I hope this post helps you in some way. Take care of yourself and your kid.

Enjoy parenting.
