Formula Feeding

Formula milk is the Powdered Form of Milk for Babies.

NAN PRO is one of the best Formula milk of my choice.

6-9 Months 210 7 4-3
over 9 Months 210 7 3

The above table shows the Feeds as per the baby's age and quantity to be taken to prepare the formula.

Note: The Number of feeds can vary according to your baby's hunger.

Use the scoop enclosed in the Formula milk box. Using More or less powder can lead to dehydration or low nutrition.

Steps to Prepare Formula Milk(Nan pro):

  1. Boil the water which you will be used to prepare the formula. Wait until it is Luke warm.
  2. Take the amount of water your baby needs milk. Add the powder as per the feeding table and mix well to avoid lumps. (eg: 30mL water add 1 scoop Powder). Try to Feed using a bowl and spoon instead of a bottle.
(Tip: silver spoon and bowl are the best as it kills bacteria, fungi and certain viruses).

If you are feeding baby by bottle:

  • Sterile baby bottle every day ( Take a steel vessel pour water and allow it to boil, put the baby bottle and teat(nipple) to sterile. You can also be sterile using sterilizers. Tip:Do not sterile bottle cap.

  • Change the teat every 2-3 months and bottle after 6month otherwise, babies can get Oral Thrush(fungal infection, white colour layer form) on their tongue and gums. Thrush is not harmful but can become serious if neglected for a long time. Note: Even if you are sterile and clean the bottle every day, you need to change it at least after 6 months for good hygiene.

  • Use baby bottle cleanser liquid(meemee liquid cleanser is the one I prefer)and a nipple cleaning brush to clean the bottle every day. (Clean the bottle with cleanser after every feed).

Oral Thrush:

Oral thrush is a fungal infection on the tongue and gums of a baby.

A white coloured thick layer is formed on the gums and tongue of the baby.

It is not harmful but avoiding it for a long time can create a problem.

Always clean the baby's tongue and gums with a Finger brush to prevent Oral Thrush and other oral problems.

If the baby has got oral thrush and even after using the brush it is not going then check with the paediatrician.

You can also use the ointment "Candid"
Take it on tip of your index finger and apply it to the baby's tongue and gums where thrush is there. Apply after every feed until the thrush disappears.
It is very safe and also shows results immediately
(I have used it for my daughter).

Note:

Nan pro1 for 0 to 6 months,
